Biography
Born in 1892, Novoheorhiiivsk (Kirovohrad region; flooded by the Kremenchuk reservoir). Graphic artist, painter. Member of the Ukrainian SSR (1938). Graduated from the Odesa Art School (1915), studio of K. Kostandi. He studied at the Petrograd Academy of Arts (1915-1917). Graduated from the Petrograd Higher State Art and Technical Institute (1927). Teachers in the specialty: K. Pietrov-Vodkin, V. Konashevych. Worked in the Kharkiv workshop of the Ukrainian branch of ROSTA (1920-1923), designer and illustrator of art publications for children in Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv (1927-1941). He taught at the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (1945-1969), professor (1948). Participated in exhibitions since 1924.
