Biography
Born in 1926, Novooleksiivka village (Mykolaiv region). Graphic artist. Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1991). People’s Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1985). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1969). Silver medal of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1972). Laureate of the V. Kasiian Prize (1979). Graduated from the Dnipro Art School (1948); Kyiv State Art Institute (1954); postgraduate studies at the same institute (1958). Teachers in the specialty: M. Panin, V. Kasiian, A. Sereda, I. Pleshchynskyi, O. Pashchenko. He taught at the institute (1954-1962). Participant of exhibitions since 1953.
