Biography
Born in 1863, Moscow. Painter, theater artist. Full member of the Academy of Arts (1912). People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1928). He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1881-1890). Teachers in the specialty: V. Makovskyi, V. Polienov, I. Pryanishnikov. Participated in exhibitions of the Society of Traveling Art Exhibitions, the Moscow Society of Artists, Mir iskusstva, and 36 Khudozhnikov.
