Biography
Born in 1926, Myzynivka (Cherkasy region). Painter. People’s Artist of Ukraine (1996). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1970). Member of the National Union of Artists (1965). He was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR (1967), the First Prize of the Republican Art Contest (1983); he was awarded a scholarship of the President of Ukraine (1997). Graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1954). Teachers in the specialty: T. Yablonska, Y. Bokshai, Y. Shcherbatenko. Chairman of the Board of the Chernivtsi Regional Organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1962-1976, 1986-1990). Participant of exhibitions since 1955.
