Biography
Born in 1916 in St. Pietierburg. Son of Heorhii Narbut. Theater artist, painter. People’s Artist of Ukraine (1994). Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine (1996). Participant of the German-Soviet War. Graduated from the All-Union Courses of Theater Artists at the All-Russian Academy of Arts (1935). Teachers in the specialty: Y. Mikhailov, A. Sierieda, S. Ewienbach, V. Lenert. He worked in theaters in Kyiv, Kovel, Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Cherkasy. Participated in exhibitions since 1950.
