Biography
Born in 1872 in Kyiv. Painter, graphic artist. People’s Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1946). Member of the St. Pietierburg Society of Watercolorists (1907), the Society named after A. Kuindzhi (1916), and the Association of Artists of Red Ukraine. He graduated from the Kyiv Drawing School of M. Murashko (1892) and the St. Pietierburg Academy of Arts (1901). Teachers in the specialty: I. Riepin, M. Kuznietsov. He taught at the Kyiv State Art Institute (1946-1947), professor (1947). Participated in exhibitions since 1896.
