30 April 2026 - 7 June 2026

The exhibition features works by members of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, which the artists have donated for a charity sale to support their fellow union members who joined the Ukrainian Defense Forces between 2022 and 2026. We are sincerely grateful to the following artists for their service: Serhii Dubovyk, Andrii Kaptar, Serhii Kliapetura, Volodymyr Petrovskyi, Vadym Pishcherskyi, and Serhii Yurkov.

Despite its regional status, the Khmelnytskyi Regional Art Museum has, over the course of its 40-year history, collected, preserved, researched, and exhibited works by artists from all over Ukraine. However, collaboration with artists from the Khmelnytskyi region also plays an important role in the institution’s work. Over four decades, the museum has hosted 90 solo and 4 group exhibitions by members of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, founded in 1989 (44 members). In total, the museum’s collection includes works by 83 artists from our region, including members of the regional organization of the union.

Union members have participated in national and regional art projects organized at our museum. Among them: “Presentation. Batik” (1994), “Art Club – 96” (1996), “Khutir–96” (1996), “Facets of the Nude” (1999), “City of the Passing Millennium” (1999), “Picturesque Ukraine” (2000), “From the Past to the Future” (2000), “Neighbors” (2004), “From Artists to Soldiers” (2022), the art residency “The Price of Freedom” (2023), and “United by the Zbruch” (2024).

In accordance with the themes of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Art Museum’s exhibition projects, works by association members from the collection are selected for display. In particular, works by Khmelnytsky artists have also been featured in recent exhibitions: “Not an Idol: Taras in the Present” (2025), “125 Years in Still Lifes from the Khmelnytsky Regional Art Museum Collection. A Concrete Look at Time and Color” (2025). “What Cannot Be Preserved Cannot Be Lost” (2025–2026), “Graduates of Europe” (2025–2026), “Museum Format” (2026), “Zones of Sensitivity – 2” (2026).

The charity exhibition and sale features 27 works of painting, graphic art, and mixed media by 13 members of the association out of the 37 currently active; proceeds from the sale will go to support the units of their 6 colleagues who have now put down their brushes and taken up arms. Join us!
