LOST. Kinder Album
17 October 2025 - 14 December 2025

“The works speak of the loss of orientation, the danger of existing in what seems to be a safe space, as well as of routes and disorientation. These meanings are reflected in the project’s title, which translates from English as lost.” (Kinder Album)

The personal project of artist Kinder Album addresses the intimate experience of each of us. The exhibition is conceived as a single installation composed of objects created in various media between 2021 and 2025: sculpture, tapestry, painting, and graphics.

“Kinder Album is one of the wittiest, most sincere, and ruthlessly precise Ukrainian artists in her observations. The full-scale war has added new depth to her practice. The artist does not avert her own or our gaze from the complex and traumatic. Instead, she offers other forms for comprehending the experience of war and displacement, fear and longing, death and the desire for life despite everything.” (Maria Lanko and Lizaveta Herman)

The artist “ruthlessly precisely” visualizes the inner states of confusion and anxiety — conditions usually spoken of openly only with psychotherapists or closest confidants. Nakedness is equated with vulnerability, but also with sincerity and openness. Restrictive tapes, which in a certain way unite the exhibition into a single artistic work, do not provide safety but rather trace a route in search of a new personal artistic experience.

Do not look here for answers or solutions; trust your feelings and instincts. This is a space in which one desperately gets lost without thinking of the need to be found. It is beyond narrative, plot, or storyline — it is essentially artistic, operating through visual language by which fears and desires magically manifest in new forms. It is an artistic challenge to conventional censored notions of free will, morality, and human nature.
