Biography

Born in 1906, Luka (Vinnytsia region). Graphic artist, teacher. People’s Artist of Ukraine (1960). Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1954). Graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1932). Chairman of the Board of the National Union of Artists (1940-1944). He taught at the Kyiv Art Institute since 1946, professor (1947), rector of the institute (1955-1963).
