Lives and works in Sumy.
A prominent Ukrainian artist whose work encompasses easel painting, graphic art, and decorative arts. The artist’s style can be characterized as a combination of modern avant-garde and monumentalism. His oeuvre includes numerous interior murals, mosaics, stained-glass windows, and frescoes. He works actively in graphics, creating complex visual imagery. Easel painting is his primary domain. His works are distinguished by a broad painterly manner and thick layers of impasto paint.
His works cover a wide range of themes—from historical and genre scenes to mystical and fantastical subjects. Historical, folkloric, and biblical motifs, as well as mythopoetics, frequently intertw in his canvases. The artist’s canvases are characterized by philosophical thinking and a constant search for new forms of painterly and graphic expression. A deep understanding and modern reinterpretation of existence foster the discovery of his own artistic style within the avant-garde movement, featuring a vibrant palette radiating a richness of shades that play across every facet. His work traces a path from abstraction and the influences of the “Theatre of the Absurd” to deep narrative and deliberate compositional design.
