Biography
Born in 1937, Kaharlyk (Kyiv region). Graphic artist. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1966). People’s Artist of Ukraine (2013). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1989). Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine (2006). Graduated from the art studio in Sambir (1950), Kyiv Republican Art School named after Taras Shevchenko (1955), Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts (1964). Teachers in the specialty: M. Prokopenko, O. Lopukhov, R. Selskyi. He worked at the Lviv Art Combine (1963-1999), headed the artistic council, was the chief artist (1981-1986). Participated in exhibitions since 1961.
