Biography
Born in 1940, Sofiivka (Donetsk region). Painter. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1993). Laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR in Architecture (1990). Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2001). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1971), member of the National Association of Artists (1993), member of the Kyiv Art Association “Bratstvo Prepodobnoho Alipiia” (1992). He was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine at the international festival “Pro-Art” (1999). Graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1965). Teachers in the specialty: D. Dovboshynskyi, I. Skobalo. He taught at the Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after M. Boichuk, professor (since 2000). Head of the Kyiv Organization of the Ukrainian Union of Artists (1992-1995).
