Biography
Born in 1912 in Sighetu Marmației, Romania. Painter, graphic artist. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1963). Member of the USSR Supreme Council (1946), Moldavian SSR Supreme Council (1947), and the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (1954). He was awarded the medal “For Valiant Labor”, the large silver medal of the World Exhibition in Brussels (1954). He graduated from the Budapest Art and Industrial School (1931) and the Budapest Higher School of Fine Arts (1933). Teachers in the specialty: I. Szönyi, I. Reti, M. Westrozi, F. Weiss. Participant in exhibitions since 1946.
