Biography
Born in 1931, Staropetrivka (Zaporizhzhia region). Graphic artist, painter, designer. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1992). Member of the Ukrainian Union of Artists (1982). He studied at the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1949-50), his teacher was I. Severa; Dnipro Art School (1950-51), his teacher was Cherniavskyi. He graduated from the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (1966). Specialty teachers: O. Khmelnytskyi, A. Konstantinopolskyi. Associate Professor of the Department of Painting of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (since 1993). He was the chief artistic consultant for the issue of anniversary coins at the National Bank of Ukraine.
