Biography
Born in 1919, Dobrivliany (Lviv region). Graphic artist. People’s Artist of Ukraine (1995). Member of the National Union of Artists (1962). Participant of the Second World War. He graduated from the Lviv Art and Industrial School (1938, now the I. Trush College), studied at the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts (1938-1939). Teachers in the specialty: A. Mikhalian, Y. Sikhulskyi, E. Dunikovska. Lecturer at the Moscow Art Institute named after V. Surikov (since 1953), professor (1954-1978). Participant of exhibitions since 1957.
