Biography
Born in 1906, Voznesensk (Mykolaiv region). Graphic artist, painter, teacher. People’s Artist of the USSR (1967). Full member of the Academy of Arts (1962). He received state awards of the USSR. He studied at the Odesa Art Institute (1922-1925; teachers: P. Volokydin, T. Fraierman), the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Lieningrad (1925-1927; teachers: A. Rylov, O. Savinov). Participated in exhibitions since 1926.
