Biography
Born in 1923 in the village of Kyzyl-Debkhan. Painter. People’s Artist of the USSR (1973). Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1970). Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1967). Laureate of the State Prize of the Turkmen SSR named after Makhtumkuli (1968). State awards of the USSR. Participant of the Second World War. Graduated from the I. Riepin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1953), studio of B. Johanson. He taught at the Aşgabat Art School.
