Biography
Born on 28.04.1941, Nova Basan (Chernihiv region). Graphic artist, painter, writer. People’s Artist of Ukraine (2001). Member of the National Union of Artists (1971). Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine (1993). Literary Prize named after O. Honchar (2006). 1st prize of the International Bookplate Competition (London, 1989). He graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1970), his teacher was V. Kasiyan. Creative workshops of the Academy of Arts of the USSR in Kyiv (1972), teacher – M. Derehus. Participant of exhibitions since 1967.
