Biography
Born in 1908 in Kremenchuk (Poltava region). Graphic artist, painter, writer. People’s Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1960). Member of the Ukrainian Union of Artists (1943). He studied at the art studio of M. Samokysh in Simferopol (1929-30), at the art department of the Kharkiv Art Institute (1932-34), at the studio of I. Selezniov in Kyiv (1934-35). Since 1941, he has been an employee of the magazine “Perets”. Participated in exhibitions since the 1940s.
