Biography
Born in 1875, Kyiv. Painter, teacher, public figure. Member of the Society of Traveling Art Exhibitions (1915-1917). One of the organizers of the Kyiv Society of Artists (1916). He studied at the Kyiv Drawing School of M. Murashko. Graduated from the St. Pietierburg Academy of Arts (1900). His teacher was I. Riepin. He studied at the studio of A. Ashbe in Munich (1901). Pensioner of the Academy in Italy, France, and Germany (1901-1903). He taught at the Kyiv Art School (1909-1912), in his own studio (since 1913), and at the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (since 1917). Participated in exhibitions since 1900.
