Biography
Born in 1918, Dnipro. Painter, teacher. People’s Artist of Ukraine (1963), USSR (1979). Honored Artist of Ukraine (1951). Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1948, 1950), State Prize of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko (1976). Participant of the Second World War. He received combat awards. Graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1946). Specialty teachers: K. Yeleva, O. Shovkunenko, F. Krychevskyi, V. Kostetskyi. He taught at this institute (since 1948), professor (1957). Participant in exhibitions since 1947.
