Biography
Born in 1942 in Ak-Bulak, Orienburg region. People’s Artist of Ukraine (2008). Honored Artist of Ukraine (1992), Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2001). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1970). Laureate of the Republican Prize named after V. Kasian (1990). Awarded: Order of the Badge of Honor (1986), Gold Medal of the AUA (2002). Graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1970). Teachers in the specialty: O. Danchenko, S. Poderevianskyi. Lecturer of the Department of Graphic Arts at the Kyiv State Art Institute (1970), Associate Professor of the Department of Graphic Arts (1990), Professor (1993), Head of the Department of Graphic Arts (1992-2004), Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts (1996-2004), Head of the Graphic Design Workshop (since 1988). He initiated, created and headed the Department of Graphic Design (2004).
