Biography
Born in 1854, Izium (Kharkiv region). Painter. He studied at the 2nd Kharkiv gymnasium with D. Bezperchyi. Graduated from the St. Pietierburg Academy of Arts (1885). Teachers in the specialty: M. Klodt, V. Orlovskyi. Pensioner of the Academy in France, Italy, Spain (1886-1888). Head of the artistic and architectural department of the Kharkiv literary and artistic circle (1912). He painted the house of the Poltava Provincial Zemstvo; together with M. Samokysh he prepared the albums “From Ukrainian Antiquity” (1900), “Motifs of Ukrainian Ornament” (1912). Participated in exhibitions since 1885.
