Biography
Born in 1936, Moskalivka (Ternopil region). Painter, graphic artist, sculptor. People’s Artist of Ukraine (2002). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1988). Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine (1997). Honorary member of the International Academy of Contemporary Art (Rome, 2006). Order of Freedom (2016). Graduated from Lviv School of Decorative and Applied Arts named after I. Trush (1956) and Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1965). Teachers in the specialty: D. Dovboshynskyi, K. Zvirynskyi, R. Selskyi. Participant in exhibitions since the 1970s.
